Blackpool hoteliers’ online booking site StayBlackpool brought online to provide trusted accommodation
The hoteliers association, after a two-year search for a suitable real-time online booking solution, has teamed up with Simpleview Europe, for the service which went live this week.
And the group has teamed up with local publisher The Rabbit Patch to add information on site visitors.
Stay Blackpool said its system will provide holidaymakers with reputable hotels and bed and breakfasts by listing only trusted accommodations that are inspected annually to show they are legal, safe and clean.
They said it would benefit customers who wouldn’t be disappointed to fall prey to the bad sales of dodgy hotels that frequently occur with some of the big online platforms.
Ian White of Stay Blackpool, who owns the Chorlton Hotel, said: “This will allow the public looking for accommodation, checking availability in real time and booking trusted accommodation from the results returned, on square.
“Blackpool accommodation providers who are members of StayBlackpool will benefit from zero commission or ultra low booking fees depending on the booking software they use.
“This will keep more money in Blackpool and allow hosting providers the funds to maintain standards and even invest.
“The coming months will see important work with our great partners, The Rabbit Patch, who are behind the Visit Fylde Coast website and social media sites that educate and promote all that is great in this region, to to take things to another level.
Jane Littlewood of the Rabbit Patch said: “This launch will bring together the accommodation industry with the information that guests use to plan a great vacation, backed by StayBlackpool which strives to provide support to the industry while ensuring that that visitors have a good time. .
“As an independent business ourselves, we look forward to promoting other hard working businesses throughout the resort and showcasing all of these hidden gems that are on offer. By working together, we can accomplish more than we can each on our own.
