Hyatt plans the world’s first Fila-branded hotel
Hyatt has unveiled plans to partner with Anta Group to open the world’s first Fila-branded hotel.
The partnership with the global sports brand will see the future Fila House Shanghai join the JDV by Hyatt portfolio.
The hotel will be part of Anta Group’s new Shanghai headquarters in the West Hongqiao business district and is expected to open in 2024.
Hyatt said the resort would be housed in five separate buildings comprising corporate headquarters, retail, and food and beverage outlets, and “is envisioned as a sports retail destination as well as a space for present the latest trends in sportswear”.
Hyatt has added JDV to its portfolio when acquiring Two Roads Hospitality in 2018and the brand currently has around twenty hotels in North America, China and Europe, including three properties in Sweden which were added in 2021.
The group also recently announced plans for the first Hello Kitty-branded hotel, which is expected to open in 2025 as part of the Sanya Hello Kitty Resort, and which will also be marketed under Hyatt’s JDV brand.
