KTDC improves online property booking

Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) online hotel and resort booking will be upgraded by the end of June to facilitate quick and hassle-free booking from anywhere in the world.

Upgrading, through Channel Manager software, is the first major step in connecting key state-owned KTDC properties to global tourism networks.

The system will connect KTDC hotels and resorts to major booking sites such as Booking.com, Agoda and Indian booking engines such as MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and IRCTC, giving them more visibility on a global scale.

The installation of the software is underway and will be completed by the end of the month, PA Tourism Minister Mohamed Riyas said after taking stock of the progress of the renovations launched by the KTDC.

Renovation in large hotels

The Minister took stock of the progress of various works, including the renovation of the rooftop restaurant and the “heritage block” of the century-old Mascot hotel and the restaurant, rooms and conference room. the Grand Chaithram hotel in Thampanoor here. “The upgrade will raise the quality of service of these two top KTDC hotels to international standards. The projects will be completed on schedule, ”Mr. Riyas said after discussions with KTDC VR Director of Tourism and General Manager Krishna Teja.

Improved quality

The quality and choice of dishes served at KTDC restaurants will also be improved, including local specialties. The ambience and service of all allied facilities of KTDC hotels will also be improved.

The KTDC, the largest hotel chain in the public sector, owns 29 properties, including seven premium, nine economy and restaurant economy, in the state.
