Mansion House Surgery Launches New Urgent and Non-Urgent Online Booking System > A Little Bit of Stone
Going live Monday, September 13, Stone’s Mansion House Surgery is launching a new online appointment system for emergency and non-emergency patients.
A post on the practice’s website reads:
“We have listened to patient issues regarding access to the practice and plan to launch a new system for patients to book appointments. It’s called the AccuRx Triage which will go live from Monday 13th September.
Patients will have access to it via the practice’s website. Patients will complete a simple form describing the reason for requesting an appointment. This request will be submitted through the secure online process and will be reviewed by a clinician for the appropriate appointment to be made.
For patients without internet access, they will continue to speak to reception who will complete the online form for them and it will be submitted in the same manner as if submitted via the internet.
Patients will be contacted within 2 business days of submitting the request, unless the clinician assigned to triage the submitted request deems it more urgent.
Patients will also be able to use the online form to inquire about blood test results, look up referrals and other related issues to save them having to phone the practice.
In order to ensure that the telephone line to the practice is as accessible as possible for the most urgent cases, we ask all patients with a smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC to Use the online forms rather than calling and asking the reception team to fill them out. – all forms are processed in the order they arrive and having a receptionist complete them will not mean they will be processed any faster.
Our goal is to reduce patient frustration at not being able to reach the phone and provide an accessible all-day alternative for those who may struggle at certain times of the day. All appointment requests will be reviewed by a clinician to ensure that the most appropriate appointment and clinician is offered for your needs.
Patients will still be able to see a GP or nurse in person and the new system is a smart way to process appointment requests and will eliminate the need for patients to ring for appointments as soon as the phone lines are open at 8 a.m. and allow them to complete a form anytime during office hours and know that the clinician will review the information submitted and respond to them within 2 business days.
All appointment requests will be reviewed by a clinician to ensure that the most appropriate appointment and clinician is offered for your needs.
You can access the new form from our website: https://www.mansionhousesurgery.nhs.uk/online-accurx-triage which can be found under the appointments link.
