One hundred and eighteen PH companies join ASEAN’s 2nd Online Selling Day August 8-10 – Manila Newsletter

ASEAN Online Selling Day (AOSD) – a celebration of unity among ASEAN member states through e-commerce is on its 2sd year. ASEAN commemorates its 54th founding anniversary through AOSD to be held August 8-10.

Consumers can take advantage of discounts of up to 50%, buy one, pick one up and more by visiting to view local online stores as well as those in other ASEAN countries. The AOSD aims to provide continuous sales opportunities, facilitate cross-border e-commerce in the ASEAN region, promote consumer confidence in e-commerce, and stimulate economic recovery.

Of the 118 participants, 62 cater exclusively to the domestic market while 57 are mainly hotels, resorts and e-commerce markets targeting both the domestic market and the ASEAN market. The participating companies represent various sectors: food and drink, tourism and travel, fashion, e-markets, consumer goods, crafts and home and life. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with products ranging from snacks, fresh produce, chocolates, coffee, condiments, cosmetics, woven items and home decor join AOSD.Malagos, Villa Socorro , Narda’s, Care Channels Social Enterprise, Lipi Enterprises, Project Beans, Puyo Handicrafts, Coco & Tres Enterprises, Joanique, Haspe Design Studio and Capellan’s Deli Food Products, are among the others. E-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, Shopinas, Mayani and UnionBankGlobalLinker are also joining this event with members of the Philippine Retailers Association, namely Karimadon, Wilcon Depot, Bench, All Day Supermarket, Metro Retail Stores, Sarabia Optical , Picture City and Rusty Lopez.

Participants from the travel and tourism industry include Conrad Manila, Bluewater Resorts, Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, Gladex Travel Services, Seda BGC Hotel, Diamond Hotel, The Lind Boracay , Evasion Tropicale Travel and Tours, Le Soleil de Boracay Hotel, Paradise Garden Resort Hotel and Convention Center Boracay, SubicInternational Hotel Corporation, Amorita Resort and Hilton Manila, offering many coupons and discounts up to 70%.

As the shift to online selling continues, DTI is partnering with Lazada to launch the local 8.8 Love Sale, a one-stop shop showcasing the unique flavors and products of MSMEs, artisans and indigenous peoples through the National Online Food Fair (NFF), National Trade Fair (NTF) Digital Mall and National Arts & Crafts Fair (NACF) Artisanal Shop. Meanwhile, Go Lokal is participating through their flagship stores at LazMall, Shopee Mall, Shopinas, and UnionBank GlobalLinker.
