Online booking for Umrah Permit will start on July 30 through the app
Jeddah: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has informed that pilgrims can pre-book their Umrah pilgrimage slots online from July 30. The Saudi Press Agency reported this citing guidelines issued by the ministry, adding that reservations can be made through a mobile app. The ministry instructed pilgrims to request Umrah through the app’s “Eatmarna” color-coding system. Thanks to the application, pilgrims can book their slot easily, depending on the reception capacity of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca.
The ministry has issued an order that pilgrims must wear a mask when performing Umrah in the Grand Mosque. Authorities will prohibit pilgrims from carrying unauthorized luggage inside the mosque. These requirements also include verification of the health status of the pilgrim via the Tawakkalna application; compliance with regulations such as wearing a mask for the duration of the pilgrim’s presence inside the Great Mosque; leave the Grand Mosque after performing the Umrah rituals; and not to carry unauthorized bags and luggage when entering the Grand Mosque. If a pilgrim tests positive for Covid 19 or if the authorities find that the pilgrim has had close contact with a person affected by Covid via the ‘Tawakkalna’ application, the permit of the pilgrim concerned will be cancelled.
The ministry revealed that Saudi citizens and residents of the Kingdom can book and obtain permits through the Eatmarna app. Citizens and residents of Gulf (Persian) Cooperation Council (GCC) states as well as pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom and GCC states can also obtain an Umrah permit by following the most appropriate procedures and steps. simplest and simplest available on request.
