Online booking only for Castlebar International Four Days Walks

Conloon Bridge is one of many beautiful local landmarks seen and enjoyed by walkers during the festival.

The Castlebar International Four Days Walks return after a three-year absence from June 30 to July 3.

Created in 1967, the event has not been able to continue since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic.

Now back in its former home at the Ivy Tower Hotel in Newantrim Street, the festival has announced that due to Covid a number of organizational changes have been made.

This year’s venue is particularly suitable as it is spacious and offers good outdoor seating facilities.

But the biggest change of all is the fact that all entries must be made online at www.castlebar4dayswalks.com.

While international walkers are already used to booking online, local participants are encouraged to register before the end of April.

Work is currently underway to plan routes and book transport. Therefore a clear indication of the number of walkers is now necessary.

Anyone wanting more information should check the regular updates on the festival’s Facebook page or contact (087) 6776274.

To date, entries have been received from 12 countries, including Canada, New Zealand, Australia, United States, Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Ireland.
