Radisson Hotel Group and Accor set up technological platforms
Radisson Hotel Group and Accor have set up new technological platforms in their international establishments.
Radisson Hotel Group implements IDeaS RevPlan across EMEA region
IDeaS, a leading provider of hotel revenue management software and services, revealed that Radisson Hotel Group has implemented IDeaS RevPlan in 147 hotels in its portfolio in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. .
Launched by IDeaS in 2020, RevPlan is a standalone cloud solution designed to complement its flagship RMS products. RevPlan makes it easy to budget and forecast a hotel’s total activity, including food and beverage outlets.
IDeaS RevPlan saves Radisson Hotel Group revenue managers approximately one day per week over time previously spent on manual spreadsheet-based forecasting. This time saving translated into more resources focused on profitable recovery strategies. It also gives Radisson Hotel Group executives the opportunity to make smart, long-term business decisions by understanding the expected financial impact of proposed changes in strategy and tactics, according to the company.
“RevPlan empowers revenue managers to be the gatekeepers of total revenue optimization, applying dynamic data-driven forecasting to all revenue streams, including rooms, catering, and meetings and events,” said Gianni Di Fede, Senior Vice President, Revenue Management, BI and Distribution, EMEA, Radisson Hotel Group. “RevPlan freed up almost a day a week of our revenue managers’ time. What we used to do on a daily basis, segment by segment, we just have to focus on the exceptions and calibrate as needed. It gives us more time for strategy, and more time for strategy means more profitability. “
Accor and Groups360 launch an instant booking solution for groups
Accor and Groups360 launched GroupSync, Groups360’s cloud-based technology solution for meetings and events, to provide instant online booking for groups, a streamlined bidding process and housing solutions through Accor’s global portfolio.
“Accor is proud of our commitment to strategic innovation, as well as our leadership at the forefront of technology adoption,” said Markus Keller, SVP, Sales and Distribution, Accor. “We are excited to partner with Groups360 to launch technology that will initiate a significant paradigm shift in the meetings and events industry towards more seamless bookings and unforgettable experiences for meeting professionals and their guests. “
GroupSync will become the new engine that powers the current digital bidding process on Accor’s private label website, meetings.accor.com, before the end of this year. Accor’s launch of GroupSync Engage, which will be operational in early 2022, represents the brand’s commitment to offer guests instant booking of meeting space directly from the hotel’s website, with plans to also integrate the instant booking of group rooms in the following months.
“GroupSync Engage will enable Accor to better serve its global markets by allowing planners to reserve not only meeting spaces, but also blocks of group rooms, catering and audiovisual services in the same online transaction”, said Kemp Gallineau, CEO of Groups360. “Given that Accor is a global brand with a significant number of properties outside of the United States, the launch of this instant group booking technology will accelerate its adoption around the world. “
Accor will offer the instant online group room reservation solution on GroupSync at most of its more than 5,200 establishments around the world. Accor properties are also featured in GroupSync Marketplace for streamlined digital bidding and instant group bookings.
