KUALA NERUS, September 18 – All accommodation operators in Terengganu are advised to use the online reservation system to welcome tourists again.

State Committee on Tourism, Culture and Digital Technologies Chairman Ariffin Deraman said the move was aimed at avoiding the risk of Covid-19 infection and congestion issues on island piers or d ‘other tourist destinations which have been fully operational since yesterday.

Ariffin also suggested that operators perform Covid-19 testing on tourists staying at their premises as an early detection measure.

Meanwhile, the manager of a resort in Pulau Lang Tengah, Wong Kim Woor, said the resort has introduced its own additional SOP to ensure all tourists are free from Covid-19.

This includes requiring visitors to take a Covid-19 test using a rapid test kit (RTK) before entering their room.

“If they test positive, visitors and those who have come with them will not be allowed to continue their vacation with us,” Wong said. Bernama
